Thousands of tulip bulbs have been ordered and the beds have been planned for next year’s Tulip Time.

City of Pella Community Services Director Jeanette Vaughan says they have ordered more than 105,000 bulbs for next year’s celebration, which is slightly more than last year’s order. She says they have added a new feature to central park called “Tulip Lane,” featuring more than 60 varieties on the downtown square. Tulip planting typically takes place in October.
