A groundbreaking ceremony will take place the end of this month at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.

Construction is expected to begin at the hospital this October, with major work on the new clinic and physical therapy buildings. In addition, renovations to the inpatient rooms, emergency, and surgical departments will also begin.

CEO Kevin Kincaid will operate a jackhammer at the event, dubbed “Jackhammers, Hard Hats, and Wine”. It will take place on Monday, September 29th in the south parking lot of Knoxville Hospital beginning at 3pm.

Construction work is expected to be completed within 18 months.
