Also running at Ballard last night were Pleasantville and PCM’s cross country teams, which each also turned in some personal bests fairly early into the season. On the Trojans’ side of things, Max Johnson was just one place away from medaling for the boys, and settled for a time of 19:36. He was followed by Alex Young who clocked in a time of 20:09. Josie Burgett had a time of 20:14 for the Trojan girls, and Andie Sowers clocked in at 20:40. For PCM, the Mustangs’ girls were fourth as a team, missing third place by just two points. Rachel Peter was second overall with a time of 16:04, and her teammate, Rachel Stafford, was eighth at 17:14. Coach Eric Karr tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that every girl on the team had a personal record, and the top five scorers all were under 20:00, a first for him during his team at the helm. The Mustang boys finished 12th as a team.
