Despite the final score, the two teams did not play a basketball game, nor did they play an Arena Football-style contest. It all boiled down to a Wild West Shootout that went Wayne’s way last night, defeating Twin Cedars by a final score of 86 – 60, in a game that had been postponed from Friday due to inclement weather. Coach Aaron Allspach tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that though his offense was able to find success through the air, there was no stopping the Falcons’ Clayton Kiefer. Otis Roby threw for 459 yards and seven touchdowns, Trace Embray had two of them on four catches for 161 yards, and Levi Pinegar also had a pair of scores with seven catches for 133 yards. The Sabers drop to 2 – 3 on the season and 1 – 2 in district play. They will be on short rest to take on Lamoni at home this Friday night.
