Vriendschap Village held a special event Wednesday aimed at showing caregivers how people with a mind-altering disease live day-to-day.They are hosted a virtual dementia tour called “A Walk in Their Shoes.” Inde Miller with Vriendschap Village says that the program was aimed at showing the benefits of those with dementia living in a community environment, and how it can help slow the progress of the disease. Participants in the program had their senses numbed to simulate what life is like for those living with dementia.
