One of the biggest volleyball matches in recent Knoxville history is tonight as the Panthers will battle class 2A number five ranked Eddvyville-Blakesburg for sole possession of the South Central Conference lead. This is just the second home match for the Panthers so Coach Chantell Downing says it is very important that Panther fans come out and make some noise tonight. Tonight will be a battle between the top players in the South Central Conference. Three of the top four players in kills will be in action including Knoxville’s Ashley Hawkshead and Cheyenne Jones. Also three of the top four in aces, the top two in assists, and the top five in digs. The winner will clinch at least a share of the conference title. The J-V matches are scheduled to get underway at 5:30 with the varsity at around seven. It is also “Pack The House White Out Night” so everyone is encouraged to wear white.
