Part one of the 8th Annual KNIA/KRLS Breast Cancer Awareness Save-A-Life Radiothon took place at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Tuesday evening.
Dozens of vendors were on hand and women came for a late night mammogram during “Girls Night Out” at the hospital. Mammographer Kelly Rauch says the turnout was really good and believes the Radiothon is helpful in getting the word out.
The Big Red Radio was on hand while KNIA/KRLS was broadcasting live during the event, speaking with breast cancer survivors and health care professionals. It continues a month-long partnership between KNIA/KRLS, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, and Pella Regional Health Center.
The KNIA/KRLS Breast Cancer Awareness Save-A-Life Radiothon will continue Thursday at Pella Regional Health Center from 4pm to 7pm.
