Postponed from Monday, Pella High and Pella Christian will be two of the seven schools in attendance at the Dallas Center Burnett Rec Complex for today’s Little Hawkeye Conference cross country meet. With no rain in the forecast, today’s meet should go off without a hitch, and should bring about a very competitive race, says Dutch head coach, Doug Cutler. On the girls’ side, Pella is also the favorite, but will see very good runners from Grinnell and Dallas Center – Grimes, who are both ranked in the most recent polls. Eagles’ coach, Jocelyn Meinders, knows her teams have the proverbial tough hill to climb, but says their knowledge of the competition could help them turn in their fastest times of the season. The varsity meet is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m.
