While it’s been recommended to the Knoxville City Council they don’t allow year-round RV’s in residential areas, that doesn’t mean it can’t change.

The council took up discussion on the matter with the Planning and Zoning Commission during a special session Tuesday. The commission recommended against allowing a particular request for RV living outside of an RV park because it was contrary to the comprehensive plan along Highway 14. A property owner approached the council about the concept during their October 6th meeting which led to the special session.

The council decided not to take action on the issue and are asking the Planning and Zoning Commission to look at creating a new designation for the purpose of RV living in Knoxville.
