Shotgun deer hunting season is just around the corner.

Hunting licenses can be obtained through the Marion County Recorder’s Office. Recorder Karen Schwanebeck says a driver’s license is handy when looking to get a hunter or fishing license so the information can be quickly brought up on the computer.

Shotgun deer hunting season begins December 6th. The deer hunting archery season is underway along with fall turkey hunting season. Trapping season also began November 1st.
