Pella Community Ambulance has named a new director.

Laura Clanton is familiarizing herself with the department and community this week in preparation for becoming director on January 1, when current director Doug Polking retires. Polking has been director of Pella Ambulance since 1984. She says she’s enjoyed meeting the staff here and looks forward to learning more about the position over the next two months. Clanton is an Oskaloosa Native and has been in EMS since 1995.
