Marion County is showing their pride in their military veteran’s with several upcoming events in honor of Veteran’s Day.
A Veteran’s Day flag raising will take place this Friday morning at 7am at Graceland Cemetery hosted by the American Legion, VFW, Boys, and Girls Scouts. Flags will remain in place until Wednesday, November 12th.
There’s also a special free breakfast for veterans being put on by HyVee on Veteran’s Day, November 11th from 7am until 10:30am at the Knoxville Armory and from 5:30am to 11am at the Pella HyVee. A salute to Marion County Veterans is scheduled for Friday, November 14th, at the Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum beginning at 8am.

Tuesday November 11 Veterans Day – 0700 – 1030 National Guard Armory, Free Veterans Breakfast Courtesy of Hy Vee, Lions Club. AMVETS, American Legion, VFW and the Marion County Commission of Veterans Affairs will be present.
1030 Tear down at Armory again all help is appreciated.
1330 Homestead Assisted Living – Present Colors.
1400 – Westridge Nursing Home – Present Colors..
1630 – 1900 Veterans Eat free at the Pizza Hut in Knoxville !
Wednesday 1500 Take down flags at Graceland Cemetery.
