Many Veteran’s Day events are taking place in Pella early next week.

Commander of American Legion Post 89 in Pella Calvin Van Ee tells KNIA/KRLS News that all veterans are invited to a fundraiser and program on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Vriendschap (Vriend-schkop) Village, where Case Vander Ray, Korean War Veteran, will share his experiences. He says a flag folding ceremony will take place at the Pella Cottages during the afternoon on Tuesday, where veterans Paul Simmons and Garrett Van Hall will share some of their experiences from a recent honor flight. Van Ee and a group of veteran’s will be taking their truck to a special Veteran’s Day parade in Branson, Missouri on Veteran’s Day.
