Coaches vs Cancer of Knoxville received a $1000 donation from Knoxville Hospital and Clinic’s Thursday.

Knoxville High School Girls’ Basketball Coach Jim Uitermarkt was on hand to receive the donation and talked about how Knoxville seems to be the perfect community for this type of event. He says it’s big enough to raise significant funds but still small enough not to lose the community feel.

The donation from Knoxville Hospital and Clinics came from several events they held during the month of October, including Girls Night Out, a bake sale, and T-shirt sales.
