Helping Hands of Knoxville says they are in need turkeys for their Thanksgiving baskets.

Helping Hands Chuck Galeazzi says they just received about 10,000 pounds of food for the baskets. He says Helping Hands can create up to 500 baskets to give to families over Thanksgiving and Christmas and that there maybe a cut off for the Thanksgiving baskets due to a lack of turkeys.

Anyone interested in providing a turkey for the holiday baskets can drop them off at Helping Hands at 117 East Main Street.

The baskets will be made up by volunteers on Tuesday, November 18th and will be available to families who signed up for them the following day.
