Many Veteran’s Day events are taking place in Pella early this week.

On Tuesday at 9:50, Pella Christian High School is holding a special Veteran’s Day Chapel, where Rob Bandstra will reflect on his service. All veterans are welcome to attend and stay for a coffee time immediately following the ceremony. That afternoon, a flag folding ceremony will take place at the Pella Cottages, where veterans Paul Simmons and Garrett Van Hall will share some of their experiences from a recent honor flight. The Pella Hy Vee is offering a free breakfast to veterans from 5:30 to 11 a.m., the Pella Pizza Ranch will be serving half off of buffets for veterans this week through Friday, and Applebee’s in Pella will offer a free meal to veterans on Tuesday night.
