A modern way of teaching students and how they learn will be coming to the Knoxville Community School District.
On Monday, the school board approved a contract with Edgenuity, a company that provides online resources to schools, including digital textbooks. Superintendent Cassi Murra has previously worked with the company. She says textbook updates come much timelier with digital textbooks than traditional ones and the money saved can help the district afford more hands-on material for students.
The board also received an update on the Early Literacy Implementation program, approved a resolution on the MCDC initiative, and were given a presentation about the middle school physical education program.
