Charges are facing a Mahaska County man involved in a police chase Sunday morning.
The driver was apprehended after a chase through Mahaska and Marion Counties. Law enforcement officials tell KNIA/KRLS News an Oskaloosa police officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop when the driver fled the scene. The driver would later be caught by a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy in Mahaska County.
Oskaloosa Police, Mahaska County Sheriff’s Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and the Iowa State Patrol were all involved with this chase.
The case remains under investigation. We’ll have more on this story as soon as it becomes official.
