The peak months of flu season are right around the corner, and the staff at Pella Regional is encouraging residents to get their flu shots.

Registered Nurse Patrice Langenfeld says that it usually takes two weeks for the vaccine to start working fully, so she says the sooner you can get one, the better. She says the vaccine has some side effects, but says it’s not true that you can contract the virus from the shot. We have more with Langenfeld on Let’s Talk Pella.
