Holiday singing and wackiness have hit the stage in Knoxville as the Christmas installment of the off-Broadway production “Nunsense” series, “Nuncrackers” is underway at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center.

“Nuncrackers” is a musical were one of the sisters at Mt. Saint Helen’s parish has won the Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes and has used the prize money to build a studio in the basement of the convent. The sisters and students attempt to tape their first ever Christmas special to be aired on public access TV.

The cast is made up of Marty Adkins, Cassie Archibald, Jennifer Bingham, Carissa Cowman, Elizabeth Cowman, Nick Crouse, Jackie Duffy, Sally Job, Zoey Kirkpatrick, Ben Marti, Victoria Miller, Melissa Molloy, Riley Newendorp, Jonathan Watson, and Shannon Yocum. Stage Director is Carol Adkins and Music Director is Christine Meyers.

The next performance of “Nuncrackers” will be tonight beginning at 7pm at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. Additional performances will take place and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.

Tickets for this production will be available at the door only for $10.00 each. Doors open 1/2 hour before the show.
