In their home opener last night, the Central women’s basketball team forced 27 Blackburn (Illinois) turnovers and turned them into 26 points in a 71 – 50 non-conference victory. The Dutch were very balanced scoring; Rachel Evans led the way with 13 points, Mariah Swartzentruber had ten, and two others had nine each as the Dutch scored 36 points off the bench and came up with 18 steals. Central improves to 2 – 0 on the season and they are back on their home court this afternoon for a contest against Waldorf.
