The First Tech Challenge Robotic’s meet will be held tonight in Knoxville.

Ten area teams made up of students in Grades 7-12 will present robots they’ve created that will have to complete specific tasks and requirements.

For Mason Ogbourne of Team Insurmountable Toast out of Knoxville, it’s been a family affair from the beginning, with his father having passed along the interest of robotics to him and his sister. He adds being involved in events such as this can also be useful on a college resume.

The FTC Robotics meet will take place at the Marion County Extension Office beginning at 6:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
