Defense was the key to the Central women’s basketball team’s 75 – 49 win up in Minnesota last night over Crown College. The Dutch came up with 20 steals and held their opponents to just 38% shooting from the field. Rachel Evans had six of those steals to lead the team, and she also led in scoring with 12 points. Four other Central players found double digits; Alison Malaby scored 11, Mariah Swartzentruber, Tina Lane, and Emily Dine all had ten points, as Central is now 4 – 1 on the year.
