More details have been released in relation to a car and semi accident on Tuesday southeast of Pella.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, at 8:40 a.m. a semi driven by Thomas Myers of Albia was traveling westbound near Mile Marker 50 on Highway 163 when Myers attempted to change lanes. Myers hit a car driven by Mary Wanders of Oskaloosa, who lost control when her car was hit by the semi. Wanders was transported to Pella Regional Health Center with non-life threatening injuries. Myers was cited for improper use of lanes. Pella Ambulance, Pella Rural Fire, Pella Police, and the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office all responded and assisted at the scene.
