The City of Pella will test the outdoor warning system at noon.

Administrative Services Manager Marcia Slycord tells KNIA/KRLS news that this is an opportunity to let public officials know if the sirens or systems in your area are working, and a chance to practice storm safety drills at home. She says they used to do a silent test, but have found that turning on the alarms has produced better results. Slycord says that this will allow them to pinpoint areas that need improvement and helps ensure the system is ready when severe weather returns to the area this spring.
