It’s back-to-back years of being best in the nation for the Knoxville Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser.

The event is again the Number 1 fundraiser in the nation, raising nearly $59,000, about $12,000 more than the next highest total.

Knoxville varsity basketball coach Jim Uitermarkt, who along with his wife Angie has organized the annual fundraiser, says he received the news Thursday from the American Cancer Society. He’s grateful to the school and the community for their support in the effort.
