A statewide home nursing company under federal investigation is laying off employees, but a company spokesperson says that won’t impact local offices.
Iowa Home Care’s offices in West Des Moines, Clive, and Fort Dodge had documents seized by federal officials in October. Iowa Home Care Spokesperson Charles Ganske tells KNIA/KRLS news that the layoffs are at the administrative level at their Corporate and West Des Moines offices, and the office in Pella will not be affected. He was unable to address whether or not this was related to the ongoing investigation. The U.S. Attorney’s Office conducting the investigation has no comment on the matter.
