Another award was given to the 2014 Central women’s soccer team recently. The Dutch were given the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Silver Award. The honor is given to schools who accumulate the fewest number of yellow and red cards in a season. Through a total of 19 games, Central was handed just four yellow cards and no red cards. The Dutch finished second place in the Iowa Conference, their highest placing in program history, and lost in the league tournament championship game on penalty kicks. Central allowed just 12 goals all season long and had a total of 12 shutouts. The Dutch lose six seniors from their varsity squad for the 2014-15 season.
