It was an eventful year for the City of Knoxville in 2014.

City Manager Harold Stewart says while projects, such as Downtown Streetscape, Section 42 housing, and the expansion of the West Ridge subdivision, continue to progress, they’ve done so with little inconvenience to the community.

He says the projects have gone on without an increase in the property tax mill levy or sewer rates, meaning the city can remain progressive while not increasing the tax burden on citizens.

Stewart believes it’s been a very successful year and looks forward to more great things for the City of Knoxville in 2015.
