The Marion County Board of Supervisors has been asked to weigh in on the Attica-Pershing Sewer Project.
Ann Rice of Knoxville spoke during the Public Comments portion of Tuesday’s Board of Supervisor’s Meeting and asked the board to try to convince the Central Iowa Water Association to reconsider their decision to withdraw from the $4.4 million dollar project. She asked that the board setup a meeting to get all interested parties together to discuss the matter.
Cee Cee Farms Ginger Harry, who’s against the project, says the board’s first priority should be to the citizens of Marion County and not to outside private entities.
The Board of Supervisors were unable to comment on the statements made because they weren’t part of the agenda, but said they would put the matter on the agenda for an upcoming meeting.
