The state budget is expected to be a topic of great concern among delegates in the Iowa Legislature during their upcoming session.
District 14 State Senator Amy Sinclair doesn’t believe it will be an easy fix. She says the state budget is already facing a structural deficit because of education reform, property tax reform, and less federal reimbursement for Medicaid.
Sinclair says the state needs to stick to the sound budgeting principles of not spending more than the revenue they receive.
