The Iowa State Patrol reports that area roadways are up to 100% snow and ice covered and slick. County and state plows are in operation. Drifting is occurring. The Marion County Secondary Roads Department tells KNIA/KRLS News that many area roadways are relatively clear, and snow is being blown from the roadways, although locations areas may be slick. Area officials urge caution as you drive this morning, and give our road crews and first responders plenty of room to work.
