Dredging at Marion County Park’s lake is scheduled to resume this week.

Marion County Conservation Board Executive Director Steve Edwards says the project originally started in early November but has been delayed due to the warmer weather.
The dredging will remove excess material from the bottom of the lake caused by erosion and sedimentation, which will improve water quality as well as fishing opportunities.
Edwards says the dredging portion of the lake project is expected to be completed by mid-March.
