Governor Terry Branstad will be in Knoxville Friday for an award ceremony to announce Knoxville’s Certified Connected Community status and release its Technology Action Plan.
Iowa State Savings Bank’s Dawn Rankin helped gather the information about Knoxville’s broadband capabilities. She says it’s great that the City of Knoxville is one of only about 10 communities to achieve this certification, but this was also a way for them to see what improvements need to be made so that the community can move forward.
The ceremony will be held at the Marion County Courthouse beginning at 12:30pm.
