Most citizens were in compliance with Knoxville’s snow ordinance after the city was hit with around 5 inches of snow earlier this week.

Community Service Officer Arlene Worrell says over 30 properties were identified as not having their sidewalks shoveled properly and contracted snow removal services were sent to clear the sidewalks. Residents are supposed to have their sidewalks shoveled no later than 24 hours after the snow stops.
Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says 30 vehicles were ticketed Monday night after the snow ordinance was put into effect, which is down from previous storms.
Pella Police reported they wrote 27 tickets for snow ordinance violations.
