First Church – United Methodist in Knoxville is holding the 4th Annual Youth Basketball Skills and Development Program for children in 3rd and 4th grades.

Director Joel Johnson says their intention in starting this program was to have an impact on the community. He says they wanted to develop a program to prepare kids to participate in 7th grade basketball while also building character and enforcing good ethical skills.
The program runs from January 19th through February 26th with girls’ sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays and boys’ sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All sessions are from 3:30pm until 5pm in the afternoon and transportation is available. We’ll have more about the Youth Basketball Skills and Development Program on Let’s Talk Knoxville.
