Policy changes in Des Moines have led to a revision of the 2015-2016 Knoxville school calendar.

According to the new schedule, school will begin on August 31st and end May 27th. Superintendent Cassi Murra says there aren’t many changes to the new calendar. She says the start and end dates are similar to previous years and actually will lead to a graduation date before Memorial Day, which could be more convenient for families.
Spring break, however, could be a Thursday through Monday break over the Easter weekend.
The Knoxville School Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed school calendar on Monday, January 26th.
