Congressman Dave Loebsack made a visit to the Pleasantville Fire Department Friday to meet with volunteer first responders and discuss legislation to provide them tax credits.

Loebsack believes local volunteers have an important impact on the community.
Loebsack also discussed legislation he helped introduce that would provide a tax deduction for volunteer first responders. He says it would also help Volunteer Fire Departments and other public safety organizations recruit and retain volunteers.
