The Knoxville City Council received a presentation on revenue projections Monday.
City Manager Harold Stewart offered a comparison of 10 years’ worth of city data to show how accurate revenue projections have been in the past. He says these figures can help the council decide how to budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
Stewart says last fiscal year’s projections were fairly accurate, with the city just 2.5 percent over what was budgeted. If trends for this fiscal year continue, the city could see about 5 percent more revenue than was budgeted by the city.
A PowerPoint presentation on Knoxville’s revenue projections is available on the city’s website at www.knoxvilleia.gov.
