After 42 years of being involved in the insurance and brewing businesses, Knoxville’s Dan McKay has decided to call it a career.

McKay announced he’s retiring from both businesses, acting now as a special consultant to McKay Insurance and having sold off his portion of Peace Tree Brewing Company. He says it’s the right time because he and his wife are still physically active and they want to continue to go biking and golfing while their health is still good.
McKay says he feels it’s time to turn over the reins to the next generation.
Todd Chambers has been named to take over the insurance agency, while Dan’s daughter, Megan McKay, takes over at Peace Tree Brewing Company.
