It was a busy weekend for emergency crews in the county as snow continued to pile up.
Through Monday morning, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to four accidents, three storm-related debris calls, and 23 motorist assists related to the heavy snow. In Pella, no weather related accidents were reported. However, officers responded to a call near Bos Landen where four vehicles were stuck in a large snow drift over Idaho Drive late Sunday night. Pella Public Works assisted in helping the vehicles out. Area law enforcement officers remind drivers and pedestrians to take it slow as melted snow refreezes overnight on roads and sidewalks.
