Marion County has now begun their budget process for Fiscal Year 15-16.

The Board of Supervisors held a special session Tuesday to review the summary budget and proposed fund balance for the fiscal year, along with distribution of the local option sales tax. They also looked at recommendations by the Compensation Board regarding the salary adjustments for elected officials.
The board will hold their next budget meeting on Thursday at the Marion County Courthouse beginning at 1pm.
