The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team is starting to a hit a stride towards the end of the regular season and hope to continue tonight against Mount Ayr. The Lady Trojans are becoming more balanced offensively, led by senior Kennedy Core and freshman Kelsee Van Haalen. The Pleasantville boys are catching fire at the right time. After starting the year at 4-5, they have won their last seven of eight games entering tonight’s match-up with the Raiders. The Trojans’ bench has been helping lately, scoring 21 in Tuesday’s win over I-35. Mount Ayr enters the night just above .500 in the win category and picked up a big win against the Roadrunners earlier in the year.
