After a non-conference schedule that left a lot of promise for what lied ahead during their Iowa Conference bouts, both of Central’s basketball teams have found themselves in a tailspin that has put them each in danger of having their seasons end on February 21. Today, Central will try to secure wins against visiting Simpson inside the P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium. The Dutch women fell to the Storm, 70 – 46, last week. Central has welcomed back Rachel Evans after being out with a hand injury. She played on Wednesday in their loss to Dubuque. Central’s men are reeling after getting decimated by the Spartans earlier in the week, 105 – 62. The Dutch were able to handle Simpson in their first go-round, 74 – 58.
