The Marion County Board of Supervisors met yesterday. They discussed a budget request of $80,000 from Marion County Librarians and heard an update on how technology is influencing use of the libraries.
An update with representatives of TENCO regarding operations at the County Care Facility was tabled. Discussion regarding the creation of a public information request policy and process was initiated, as while transparency is desired, recent freedom of information requests have proven costly. They also approved a contract for the T-22 overlay to Norris Asphalt Paving Co. for the low bid amount of approximately $823,000, among other items.
