The Pella Christian girls had contained a high-scoring Des Moines Christian team, but couldn’t hit enough shots of their own and fell 43-31 on 92.1 KRLS last night. The Eagles brought it to within five after they hit three deep shots in the third quarter, but the Lions pulled away late. Tessa Howerzyl led the Eagles with ten points and Brooke Mitrisin knocked down a pair from beyond the arc to tally six. Head Coach Kevin Van Maanen says he loved the way his team battled with the number-nine Lions, but says not enough quality shots fell through the hoop. Pella Christian ends their season at 13-11, and say farewell to five seniors.
