The 2015 Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament came to end on Saturday and three area wrestlers’ found their way to the podium at their respective weights.
Tristan Clark became the first finalists for PCM in 25 years and came up just short on Saturday night. Clark fell in the Class 2A state finals at 126 pounds to number one rated Ryan Leisure of Clear Lake, 6-1. Clark finished his season with an impressive record of 44-4. Brock Caviness found his way on to the podium finishing seventh at 285 pounds in Class 2A. Caviness won his seventh place match on Saturday afternoon defeating number five rated Kyle Davis of Columbus-Winfield-Mount Union, 3-2. Jacob Hoch of Melcher-Dallas and wrestling for Southeast Warren finished fourth at 160 pounds in Class 1A to finish an impressive run at the state tournament.
