District 14 State Senator Amy Sinclair says a gun bill that will be put before the Iowa Senate will allow more options for citizens who wish to carry a gun or teach their children to use one.
Sinclair says the bipartisan bill offers some common sense changes. One would be allowing children under the age of 14 to be permitted to handle a gun, so that they can get more comfortable with handling it, especially for those who compete in competitions. It would also establish a database in the state to show if a permit is valid.
