The Pella School Board reviewed plans to improve traffic flow near Jefferson Intermediate School at this week’s board meeting.
The $599,000 project involves an additional lane from East 8th Street to Jefferson’s current parking lot. The purpose of the addition is to improve school pick-ups and drop-offs near the district’s campus. The approval process will begin with the City of Pella this month, and construction is projected to start on May 4th. The goal is to complete improvements by the first day of classes in the fall.
