Area law enforcement wants to remind the public about staying safe during St. Patrick’s day weekend.
Lt. Paul Haase with the Pella Police Department says this is one of the busiest weekends of the year when it comes to alcohol-related incidents. He encourages everyone who plans to celebrate to assign a designated driver or use a taxi or bus service after the party is over. He says many departments statewide will increase patrols starting Friday to ensure a safer driving environment.
